アーマージッポーは‘鎧’ (よろい)を意味するネーミングのとおり、
通常のZIPPO(0.5mm)と比べ1.5倍程の厚み(0.75mmがあり重さも
約70gとなり重厚さを増した。　
新しいスタイルのZIPPO。アーマーモデルの底には『A』の刻印があり、従来のZIPPOとの違いを確認できます。　
インサイドケースは従来どおりです。

・サボテンの上で蛇を咥える鷲
メキシコの国章(メキシコのこくしょう)アステカの伝説に由来する
デザイン。
サボテンに立つ蛇を咥えた鷲は、アステカの民が首都を決めるために、
ウィツィロポチトリ神の神託により「サボテンの上に蛇を食らう鷲が
いる土地」を探して200年の間彷徨った伝説。

メキシコでは観光名所となっている、古代都市テオティワカンに
「月のピラミッド」「死者の大通り」と「太陽のピラミッド」があり、
民芸品からアーティストまでが太陽と月のモチーフを当たり前の様に使っています。
太陽と月、光と影、男と女、動と静、対照的ですが離れられない関係です。

象徴的に太陽は、朝を告げ、光を与え、活力の源であり、陽であり、プラスである。

As the name suggests, Armor Zippo means 'armor'.
It is about 1.5 times thicker (0.75mm) and heavier than regular ZIPPO (0.5mm).
